The Foundation of Who We Are

People

We believe our people are our greatest strength. We encourage our people to pursue lifelong learning, share new perspectives, and empower them to challenge fearlessly in the pursuit of going a level above and doing the right thing.

Elevate

We strive to elevate the ordinary into the extraordinary in every action, every decision, and every community. We look for opportunities to go a level above, to elevate and evolve, encouraging innovation to consistently surprise and delight our stakeholders.

Passion

Passion drives our commitment to deliver our best work for the communities we serve. With love for what we do, we naturally go a level above, see obstacles as opportunities, and let our passion fuel our ambition to be the best.

Together, we go a Level Above

At Regional Group, our success has always been built on one simple truth. It starts with our people. Our PEP values — People, Elevate, Passion, are more than words on a wall. They’re the heartbeat of who we are and how we move forward together. When we put people first, we create a culture of respect, learning, and collaboration. When we elevate the ordinary, we challenge ourselves to think bigger, reach higher, and innovate boldly. And when we lead with passion, we bring purpose and pride to everything we do, from the homes we build to the communities we shape. Together, these values define us. They remind us that excellence isn’t a destination, it’s a daily choice. Let’s continue to live our values, lift one another up, and go a level above in all that we do.

Curious About PEP?

Start Here.

This section will answer the most common questions about the PEP program. How it works, how to participate, and how it recognizes outstanding contributions across our organization. From nominations to monthly awards, this will be your go-to hub for celebrating what it means to live our values: People. Elevate. Passion.

How does this impact communications with external parties?

We will start to incorporate our mission, vision and values into our external communications (e.g. on social media platforms and news articles or blogs).

Will this change my day-to-day work?

There will be no major changes to your daily tasks or responsibilities.

However, we encourage staff and managers to continue to incorporate our values into how teams are led and work is approached. It’s about shaping the mindset behind the work, not changing the work itself.

Why now? What prompted the change?

We wanted to align all our brands to foster a stronger sense of connection and teamwork. Being united as one team, and embracing our niche as a fully integrated real estate company, will enable us to differentiate ourselves in the industry and scale in the long run.

Who was involved? Was employee input considered?

Through a collaborative workshop, our executive leadership team explored what truly defines us, defining our shared identity into the refreshed values that now guide and inspire us moving forward.

A cross-functional working group—representing Construction, Customer Care, Design, Sales, Land, Finance, HR, and Property Management—has been driving this launch to ensure it reflects all departments. Ensuring that everyone can feel seen and connected to the values.

How does this affect me? Will performance management change?

The technical aspects of performance management remain the same.

However, our values will be integrated into Personal Success Plans to promote a people-centric mindset and recognize contributions that elevate our services.

What’s different? How do these new values compare to the old ones?

Our refreshed values — People, Elevate, Passion— distill the essence of our previous values. We have taken the time to ensure the old values from both Regional Group and eQ Homes are represented in these three new values. We now operate under one set of guiding principles that will make us stronger together.

How will we live out these values?

A cross-departmental working group, supported by the executive team, is leading efforts to bring these values to life as a company. As a start, they will be reflected in policies, employee awards, job postings, personal success plans, and our values landing page. We are also encouraging all team members to come up with ways they can bring them to life at work.

How will success be measured?

Success will be measured through:

  • Company culture (is this measured by retention/turnover, internal promotions, etc.)
  • Personal Success Plans
  • Employee engagement surveys

Each person will live the values differently, but here’s what they can look like in action:

  • People: Teamwork, thoughtful communication, people-centric mindset
  • Elevate: Continuous improvement, personal growth, innovation
  • Passion: Caring deeply, pride in your work, positive energy
Will training or tools be provided?

Yes. The values launch explained what the values mean and how they apply.

Managers and employees play a key role in bringing them to life, but there is no one way to live the values.

Managers will lead by example in making the values come alive, celebrating wins, and providing coaching along the way. We hope to see staff embodying these values, and join their managers in leading by example.

Values will be embedded into our annual PSP process, reviewed regularly and training provided on what to expect in the PSP process.

Will decisions (promotions, hiring, recognition) reflect the new values?

Absolutely.

  • The Urock Awards will be rebranded as PEP Monthly Awards, with nomination criteria based on the values.
  • HR will assess values alignment during phone screens.
  • Promotion evaluations will include competencies tied to the values.
  • Our Annual awards nomination criteria will be aligned to our values.
Will this mean new initiatives, policies, or extra work?

No additional day-to-day work is required.

Existing policies have been reviewed for consistency, but no new policies have been created.

“I’m confused. I thought I worked for eQ Homes. Now I work for Regional? Can you explain?”

You will continue to work for the entity you are currently employed. All we have done now is to bring a stronger sense of unity between the different entities that are under the umbrella company, through a common mission, aligned vision and values, to ensure we are all moving in the same direction.

Does this affect my department’s reporting structure?

No changes are being made to reporting structures.

Your team and management remain the same.

Is Josh Kardish still in charge of eQ?

Yes, Josh continues to lead eQ Homes.

Does this change my job description, role, or duties?

No, your job duties and role remain unchanged.

These are nice ideas, but how do they apply to my role?

Speak with your leadership team to explore how the values apply to your role.

In many cases, you’re likely already living them—being a team player, improving processes, showing a positive attitude, contributing ideas, and being reliable!
